Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6 Slim Poised for Launch After Securing South Korean Certification
Samsung’s pet project for a better version of Galaxy Z Fold 6 took a sharp turn for an imminent launch yesterday. Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6 Slim or Z Fold 6 Ultra has shown itself on a South Korean certification website. So, no one can question or deny its existence anymore.
They say that in China, Samsung's latest slim foldable phone might get Galaxy W25 as the title. That seems an odd convention for titles, coming from Samsung when we know them to be very conservative. So let’s stick with Z Fold 6 Slim/Ultra for now. As the name would have you, it’s a slimmer folding phone
Current Z Fold 6 is 12.1mm thick when folded. Reports say the new Slim option is miraculously 10mm when clapped shut. As for how they achieve this, they may have expelled the digitizer layer from under the screen. So there’s a chance you won’t see S pen support.
Other rumors advise that Fold 6 Slim could be larger with an 8” AMOLED rather than their standard 7.6”. And the outer screen will also go from 6.3 to 6.5”. But all this will probably come at an absurdly high cost of $2100, about $200 more than the Z Fold 6.
